| About Trefren Outfitters
We are always available to answer any questions you may have,
whether they are about hunting our camps or just helping you
fill out an application.
Trefren Outfitters has been guiding and outfitting in the high
country of Wyoming for over 40 years. All of our staff has been
with us for a number of years. We take a lot of pride in what we
do, therefore we use only the best guides and stock available to
us. All of our staff are well trained hunters, horsemen, and
professionals. All of our horses are well-trained mountain
animals. We take great pride in our horses and great care to
insure that they are as safe as possible, keeping in mind that
they are animals and will sometimes do things out of our
control. All of our hunts originate from either our Little Greys
Camp, Bailey Creek Camp, or from our facilities in Cody,
Wyoming. We do not offer any kind of drop camp hunting. Our
clients can either drive to any of our operations or we can help
arrange travel to and from either the Jackson Hole Airport or
the Cody Airport. Our lodging facilities in Bailey Creek and
Little Greys are 12’ x 14’ canvas wall tents.
In Cody we hunt out of a motel. You will find our tents are very
comfortable and warm. All of your meals will be included, our
cooks prepare all meals including lunch which you will take with
you in the field while you are hunting. We ask our clients to
arrive early in the afternoon the day prior to your hunt and
then plan on leaving the day after your hunt is finished. This
means you will get a full 5 or 7 days of hunting with no travel
days depending on your hunting package. All of our bookings are
on a first come, first serve basis and your hunt will not be
scheduled until your deposit is received. Remember, the
application period for elk is January 1st to January 31st; deer
is January 1st to March 15th; sheep and moose are January 1st to
February 28th. Trefren Outfitters are fully icensed, insured,
and authorized to operate on the Shoshone and Bridger Teton
National Forests, as well as in Grand Teton National Park and
Bureau of Land Management.
